Life of a nomad

Thank you for taking the time to view my blog. I am what you may refer to as a lost soul, I have dreams, ambitions but I still LACK the dream job. I love where I live and what I do for work. I can do it for extended periods of time. But in the end, my life revolves around discovery. If I had lived 200 years ago, I would have been an explorer. I love the sense of adventure and the feeling of being completely lost in another world of language, smells and sights. I have traveled extensively for nearly 7 years but there is still 155 more countries in the world for me to visit. Maybe if one day I said I was going to set off and complete 100 countries in 2 years, who would want to know about this. Would someone follow this story, want to document it and perhaps write a book... I love life and I live it to its limits. There must we a shiny object at the end of the tunnel for me... I am sure of it...

How can I get paid to travel the world??

Dilemma 1073 for Tim Leyshan... How do I get paid to do the most important thing in my life. I have traveled the world successfully for nearly 7 years on and off. I have lived in 3 countries other than my home and travelled through 40 countries inclusive. My plan in life is to have traveled 100 countries before I am 30 and perhaps have completed 150 countries before I die. I would say 195 but I think there is a good percentage I just never will... But in saying that, I HAVE SURPRISED myself by visiting places I never thought I would.

I get easily inspired by people that have the same passion for life and travel as I do. I have recently met amazing people that have blown my measly 40 countries out of the water. Which is frustrating but also gives me more drive to continue learning and breaking down those cultural barriers within the world and path the way for more stories to be written of adventure, natural beauty and inspirational moments in life. I dreamt for a long time when I was just starting out traveling to one day being a successful Travel host on discovery channel or Great Outdoors or something similar. Unfortunately that still hasn't come about, but you just never know right. If I may one day talk to the right person who doesn't see me as just a... errr stripper... Because lately I have been meeting people here in Canada wanting to know if I can join their 'male review' group for hens nights etc. I find it very bizarre, so long as I can convince people that I may do better hosting a TV program about lifestyle on the road rather than awkwardly maneuvering myself around a pole like a horse attempting the tango with its legs tied together, then I could be onto something.

It is very strange how things come up in life and what can come of opportunities if only you keep your eyes open. I am still looking for this BIG break but with persistence, networking and a little bit of luck I think there could be an opportunity out there to really take on a challenge like this. I don't see myself as a travel writer because I can't write, therefore I think I will stick with utilizing what I was born good at and that my friends is talking...

So, I will let you all know if this illusive job comes about, but please don't WATCH THIS SPACE for extended periods of time, you may get square eyes, because finding that dream job wont happen over night.... or will it... muhhahahaha!!!
